This first half of the term has been absolutely INCREDIBLE. From kicking off the year at June Retreat to working with all the wonderful presidents throughout the organization at August Execs, our summer was filled with unforgettable experiences and trainings, building us into better leaders and helping us to work with you all.
Kicking off the term...
1️⃣ Fall Kickoffs → Kickoffs around BBYO were a HUGE success. From chapter pool parties to regional yacht kickoffs to club parties, so many events around the order highlighted the fun and excitement BBYO brings in so many different fashions to so many members around the globe. Engaging members and building a sense of community through the new friends made at these events kept members engaged and excited for the rest of the year.
2️⃣ 380+ ILN Applications → Throughout August and September, we looked through all 380+ applications submitted for the International Leadership Network, ranging from our new AZAA/BBGG Coordinators to Saturday Night Positions to Music Studio Captains. We worked tirelessly and fairly to ensure positions were given to as many people as we possibly could. From this point, we are so excited to work with all those selected to build the biggest and greatest IC yet.
3️⃣ Convention Season → Conventions this year were a massive success. So many regions around the order had massive turnouts and record-breaking attendance, highlighting our ever-growing organization and the success we can foster. With new ideas and themes for conventions, many teens were engaged in their weekend BBYO programs led by the amazing S’ganim Network. Regions like Eastern revitalized the traditional convention schedule with their new combination of New Member Convention and Regional Convention, developing two tracks for members to embark on and find their reason in their BBYO journey. Alongside these new conventions, Argentina, for the first time ever, had a regional convention, and Mexico had their first Regional Overnight! We are so excited to see the long-lasting impacts of these innovative conventions and to help our counterparts with their visions for their upcoming conventions as well.
After an AMAZING board retreat in Phillyyy, we got ready for the next half of the term. We worked through our priorities and goals and set clear and tangible plans. For the next half of our term, we have so many exciting things coming up…
1️⃣ IC YOU SEE WE ALL SCREAM FOR IC 🤩 → IC is coming up so, so soon! We can’t wait to reunite with so many of you in Denver and meet you in person. We are working hard with the whole IC steering team to make this the BEST IC TO DATE. The team has been building so many amazing programs, spirit guides, services, AZAA/BBGG sports tracks, and preparing an INSANE lineup of speakers and performers. SHOUTOUT TO @IC 2025 STEERING TEAM 🎉 ‼️‼️Get to know the team behind IC!
2️⃣ PROGRAM BANK RELAUNCH → We are going to work with an amazing Program Bank Committee to make this a platform that every member across the order can use. Highlighting some of the highest-quality programs that have been run on a chapter and regional level, as well as in our summer programs and International Convention, we’re giving the world the best we can offer. Think of it like a Program Bank Netflix 📺—you’ll have different and diverse categories of types of programs, sorted by topics and audience. We can’t wait to accomplish this with our team! SHOUTOUT TO @Program Bank Committee 🥳
3️⃣ FOUNDERS FEST 📘📕 → As we continue with our term, we are going to make sure we have an EPIC celebration for our 101st and 81st anniversaries. We want to make sure our organization is celebrated in every corner of the world, from alumni gatherings to incredible chapter programs. We will also work on creating lasting memories from this year's celebrations, like an AZA/BBG history book where every region can write about their foundations and how they were created.
