MAKINGÂ MEMBERSHIPÂ OFFICIAL
In December and May, chapters around the world hold induction ceremonies to officially welcome Alephs-In-Training (AITs) and Members-In-Training (MITs) into AZA and BBG. Global Inductions celebrates all new members being welcomed into BBYO at the same time!
Inductions are the ritual ceremonies that formally welcome new members into their lifelong journey in BBYO. Inductions happen at all levels of AZA and BBG and at least twice a year in chapters (in December and May).
There's nothing cooler than being the one to hand a new Brother Aleph or Sister B'nai B'rith Girl their membership pin and Red or Blue Book. This page has everything you need to make sure that Inductions are on your chapter's calendar and they're an epic experience.
Plan a unique and memorable inductions ceremony for your new members as a stand alone event or pair it up with something that's already great on the calendar (maybe Global Shabbat?). Submit what you're planning on BBYO On Demand. âŹď¸
Be thoughtful about the experience you are creating, ensuring that the traditions and rituals of our Order are included in this once in a lifetime event. Look no further and download all these documents so you have them handy.
Okay, so there's both a lot you have to do for inductions and not that much at all to make it super special. Here are some things to think about (let us know if there are things you'd add!):Â
Step 1:Â Choose a day, time, place, and get it on all current member's calendars (and tell us too!).
Step 2:Â Give your new members Bid Cards (or another fun invitation) to formally invite them to inductions.
Step 3:Â Make sure you have Membership Pins, Red and Blue Books, and Membership Cards.
Step 4: Think about the environment you want to create for Inductions. What do you need? Order it/make a shopping list.
Step 5:Â Print off (and practice)Â the resources below and put what your chapter wants to use into practice.
Step 6:Â Welcome our new Brother Alephs and Sister B'nai B'rith Girls to the Movement.

Welcome new Sister B'nai B'rith Girls into our 75-year sisterhood using this script.
Read through ideas for the New Member Experience to plan some cool moments for your members leading up to Inductions.
Wouldn't it be cool if you were inducted by your big brother or sister? We think so too. Explore some Big/Little tips.
Step up your game, giving your new members items that they can physically take home to remember this occasion. Don't forget about all the AZAÂ & BBGÂ Ritual pieces that make Inductions so magical. See what you have and order what you need (don't wait until it's too late.... đ).
Psst, all BBGÂ Membership pins are currently rose gold to celebrate the 75th Anniversary.
