Dobbs v. Jackson: One Year Later

Moving Traditions is excited to offer an event by teens, for teens, to mark the one-year anniversary of the Dobbs decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and its impact on reproductive rights. A group of highly motivated teen activists from the Meyer-Gottesman Kol Koleinu Teen Feminist Fellowship will host a virtual interactive seminar. The event will offer teens the opportunity to hear from experts representing a variety of perspectives on reproductive rights, including clergy, legal and medical experts.

About the Platform

BBYO On Demand is a dynamic platform for the global Jewish community. It does not have a time zone, date, or location; it’s a universally accessible tool to build and strengthen Jewish community and connectivity among Jewish teens, Jewish young adults, and the Jewish People. The platform launched in March 2020 at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and sustained Jewish experiences for the community at large by centralizing many of the digital experiences happening in the worst months of the pandemic. Today, BBYO On Demand is a rapidly expanding hub that offers ways to share ideas, learn from top educators, build projects, organize for important causes, compete in gaming, celebrate milestones, and meet new friends. BBYO On Demand is for teens, by teens.

Can I participate in BBYO On Demand if I'm not a member?

Any Jewish teen, regardless of affiliation, can join any event that’s access is listed as “Open for All” or submit an event to run on the platform. If you’d like to participate in one of our groups or clubs (Access: Group Members Only) or an education series (Access: Registrants Only), you will first need to sign up to become a member of BBYO here. If you have any questions about membership, don’t hesitate to reach out! On Demand is for teens, by teens.

How does BBYO On Demand approach pluralism?

You may see programs at any and all times, of all kinds, celebrating the widest spectrums of pluralism, interest, and practice. We encourage you to pick and choose how you engage with the Jewish community and Jewish tradition best based on your own personal preferences and individual observance.

Who can submit an event on BBYO On Demand?

Anyone (teen or adult) can submit an event to the platform. The BBYO On Demand team needs a minimum of 2 business days to receive, review, and publish to the programming schedule. We advise submitting your plans as far out as possible to give yourself time to promote your programming and allow it to be discovered in the schedule.

If something inappropriate happens on a call, let us know. Read through our Community Guidelines to understand our commitment to creating spaces that are mentally, emotionally, and physically safe for all teens.

Your physical and emotional health, safety, and wellness are important to us. BBYO recognizes that these can be difficult times. If you are in distress or crisis, please visit BBYO's Safety, Wellness, and Inclusion page for help and resources.
