I've never attended IC before, so I am extremely excited to go this year. Last year, I decided to stay home as I was a freshman who didn't know anyone internationally. That just makes this year so much more exciting. Here are my top ten things I am looking forward to:
10. Exploring BBYO Boulevard: I am looking forward to visiting all of the BBYO brand partners, whom you can learn more about from Adi's article. I'm most excited to meet the sororities and design merch with Liquid Screen Designs. In addition to meeting the brand partners, I am excited to participate in activations and visit the BBG and Press Corps Lounges.
9. Visiting the IC Shuk: I have seen the cutest merch ever around the order on social media, and I am so excited to have an opportunity to purchase it myself. I'm also super excited to support my friends' chapters and regions.
8. Meeting the 102nd and 82nd Grand and International Boards: I already know how hard teens around the order have worked to make it to this point in their BBYO journey. Each teen's journey to this point has been different, and I am excited to see their ideas to make the order better for all.
7. Sightseeing in Philly: My sightseeing assignment is an improv show and go-karting. With a mix of being chill and having fun, it's sure to be one fun day. I'm excited to be able to drive in a fun way, safely, and laugh with new friends.
6. BBYO Concert: The artist I am most excited to see is Natasha Bedingfield. As you probably don’t know, at CLTC one, every single meal we would play unwritten to signal that it's time to clean up. It's going to be such a full circle moment singing that song at CLTC to singing it with the same people at IC.
5. LEADS Day: For LEADS Day, I will be at Lights Up: Inside Broadway, TV, and Film. If you know me, you know I love a good TV show or movie, so I'm incredibly excited to learn about the film making process. I am also excited to meet other teens with similar interests.
4. Making new friends from around the order: Every second at IC, I will be surrounded by people I don't know. I personally opted to have new roommates in order to meet more people. These new people have the potential to be my best friends, and I cannot wait to see how those friendships will develop.
3. Meeting celebrity guests: This year's celebrity lineup is PEAK. From Bread Basket, to Rebel Wilson, and Zach King, plus more, everyone can find a talk that interests them most. I am also excited for these celebrities to experience part of our movement and who we are.
2. Being a Press Corps photographer. I cannot wait for another opportunity to further my passion for photography. Anytime I get to be behind the lens, I love it. I am so excited to capture the memories of IC that all of you experience.
1. Reuniting with my friends from C1TC: It's been months since I have seen my friends from CLTC, and I am so excited to see them again. To relive our summer memories and create new ones. Overall, it is going to be the highlight of my IC.
