It all started with a simple message from my best friend asking me if I had signed up for the kick-off of BBYO Barcelona at the Finca de Valldoreix. Without having any idea what that was, I said, "I don't know what that is, but since all my friends are going, I'm going to sign up." I filled out the registration form and showed up at the event with a huge smile on my face.

Honestly, the first event I attended was completely indifferent to me. I hadn't learned anything about this organization, and I had just come to hang out with my friends. But, a few months later, my friend told me that I had been chosen to be part of the 2023-2024 board, and that was when I started having an interest in it.

When the new term started, I came to ALL the events that this new board had organized, and that's when I discovered all the magic and essence that BBYO has. I learned not only what this organization meant but also the effect it had on my Jewish self and my thinking about the whole issue of my religion. It made me open my eyes and make way for a space full of unique experiences and moments that are now part of me.

It was then that I became a member and attended the BBYO Spain 2024 National Convention, where I ran for Morah of the Barcelona board. All these amazing experiences I had with this board made me think to the point that I couldn't let anyone miss out on this opportunity. That's why I applied to the Barcelona board so that everyone could have the same experience that I had and create so many unforgettable memories with this huge family that unites us.

So, with just one little message from my friend, I was brought into this world that, just 2 years ago, I didn't know existed. I will always be eternally grateful to all these people who helped me and were by my side to keep going and not give up, to fight until the end for what I really want, and to achieve my goals. We all deserve to have that smile that fills us with joy and the desire to give our 100%.

So friends, in this beautiful and unique family, make everyone you can smile because they will remember it for a lifetime.
