It’s crazy to think how far we’ve come as a Movement in rebuilding The Shofar as the voice for the members of AZA and BBG. Today, we’re thrilled to announce that since its relaunch online in 2017, The Shofar has hit 1,000 posts! Founded as a printed newspaper in 1925, The Shofar has always been one of the best ways our Movement has stayed connected. The Shofar is where we tell stories, express our opinions, share our thoughts, recap events, and stay connected. With hundreds upon hundreds of articles on the platform today, you can scroll for hours being inspired by the experiences, discussions, and achievements of Alephs and BBGs from years past. This news platform has documented some of the most historic moments throughout AZA and BBG’s 100-year history, and it’s beautiful that we have the opportunity to continue this legacy.

The Shofar today is run by the International Press Corps, which represents 170 members from around the world who love writing and media. The Shofar newsletter is one of four arms of the Press Corps Team. This group also has exponentially grown our TikTok following, manages our Snapchat account, and just launched a brand new podcast called BBYO Table Talk. We can’t wait to see what’s next for BBYO’s best team of influencers and journalists. Here’s to many more spooey rankings, convention experiences, opinion pieces, and creative ideas!

Aaron & Courtney are the international Mazkirim for the 2022-2023 year. Aaron hails from the Greater Jersey Hudson River Region Central Council and is the 98th Grand Aleph Mazkir, Courtney hails from Mountain Region and is the 78th International Mazkirah.
