December 3, 2024, is Giving BBYO Day, BBYO’s yearly day of giving, and this year we have a goal of $1,000,000 and NEED your help to reach that achievement. Giving BBYO Day coincides with the Giving Tuesday movement, a day to give back after Thanksgiving. BBYO relies on donations to cover 50% of its annual costs; this includes programming, scholarships, transportation, space, and more, so it is crucial that you donate and fundraise.
Why should I donate?
Giving BBYO Day is about more than just raising money—it’s about making BBYO’s incredible programs and opportunities available to everyone. The funds raised during this event go directly to local BBYO regions to help support everything from regional programs and conventions to scholarships for summer experiences and International Convention. This support helps keep BBYO programs affordable and accessible, empowering Jewish teens to connect, grow, and lead.
The reason I donate is as a thank you for everything BBYO has given me since I became a member. It has provided me with a Jewish community outside of synagogue, introduced me to some of my BEST friends, and given me countless unforgettable memories. It has also taught me important life skills that I’ll carry with me for years to come, including graphic design, public speaking, and how to lead a group. Without donations, BBYO wouldn’t be the amazing organization it is today. That’s why your support is so crucial.
Where can my friends and family donate?
Starting now, donations to U.S. regions can be made here or text GiveBBYO2024 to 71777. If you would like to donate to BBYO outside of the United States you can donate here or text GiveGlobal2024. Although December 3rd is our main fundraising day, your donation now through one of those links will have the same impact as one made on December 3rd.
How can I become an Ambassador and/or spread the word?
By clicking this link, you can become an Ambassador. If you are already an ambassador and would like to continue spreading the word and fundraising, here are a few ways you can do that! Reach out to everyone you know—not just your Jewish friends and family. If you had a bar or bat mitzvah, I highly recommend reaching out to your guest list about donating! You can also post on your personal, chapter, and regional social media platforms and share your story to get donations!
